Acute3D, developers of the technology behind Autodesk’s 123D Catch (previously known as Photofly), have released new editions of their Smart3DCapture image-based modeling software aimed at users that don’t need georeferencing features and handling of large image datasets.
A free, limited version is now available for download as well as a paid Basic edition, which offers features such as export of camera properties to XML, ability to save models in standard 3D formats with multiple levels-of-detail, etc. Acute3D also offers other advanced editions of Smart3DCapture, visit the Acute3D website for a comparison: page 1–page 2.
