Press release in two weeks: “Autodesk announces End-of-Life for its mental ray render software”
Innovation, anyone?
err ADK does not own Mental Ray, it is own by NVidia. Any ways I don’t see much long life either, NVidia concentration is in hardware rendering such IRay, something that make them sell Video Cards.
I hope never, never! acquire Vray :o, this is my “end of life”
ADSK hasn´t shopped companies for quite a while I guess – so it was time. $62 million…that´s why subs and rentals are always increasing. Somebody has to pay the bill.
It wasnt enough to kill Montreal based Softimage, now they want to kill off QC based Lagoa?
AD should not be allowed to purchase any 3D companies of similar products they already have.
Hey that’s the same guy that sold Lagoa Multi Physics to AD for Softimage.
