CGPress needs advertisers

This is a reminder to readers that CGPress needs ads to function. We’re experiencing strong growth and that reflects in the amount of work the site takes to maintain and develop further. If you find the news we publish useful for your work and have software to publicize or would like to offer your studio’s services to the CG audience at large, please consider advertising on CGPress. Thank you for your support.
Tip:
If you want to keep adblock installed, just go to adblock and run “Don’t run on Pages on this domain”.
Adblock will then show ad’s just on CGPress but no other website.
Good tip, thanks. Also, for the less savvy like myself, make sure you run that AdBlock function when you’re on the cgpress.org homepage as opposed to THIS page.
Didn’t realize I was robbing you guys of potential ad revenue. Sorry! 🙁
One can do it even from a different page than the home, just make sure to pick “Disable on CGPress.org” rather than “Disable on this page only” from the ADblcok drop down menu option.
No problem at all. Many thanks for trying to help. Much appreciated.
Thank u for the tip. I made that mistake here now, without realize. i will fix in home and agency. Long life for CGP and CGPVR!
What I really like about CGP is that they really give you the most relevant news as well as do not censor your opinion by allowing commenting without strict user registration. It is so nice to see some of the legendary people (devs, artists) comment and engage side by side with everyone else who all have a voice. True, often people vent their frustration, but even so the comments are information packed and generally helpful. All I can say is Thank You to CGP for many wonderful mornings as a cup of coffee + CGP makes for a great start of your day.

You’re most welcome. Thank you everyone who took a moment to post a message, and for the good words about the site and the support. It’s great to hear feedback and know that people are enjoying reading the site, and have incorporated it into their daily lives.

i for one will stop commenting altogether.
alot of times i write something it gets deleted,
most recently in the max2017 thread.
@Major: As Yuri said above, people enjoy reading the comments on this site. We have basic guidelines so that things are that way and the ambiance remains friendly, constructive and informative. It’s become a trademark of the site.
We seriously dislike removing comments but we do so when they don’t adhere to those basic guidelines, fortunately this occurs in very rare cases. If this has happened repeatedly to you please consider changing the way you word your messages. We do have to keep the place enjoyable for everyone.
ambiance. right.
just a quick glance on the adsk rental announcement thread revealed 4 f*cks and a bull*** (with some posts containing only the said curseword and no other content).
i took that as an allowance of certain language.
its hypocritical to me that some posts are allowed, yet are filled with belligerent nonsense and personal jabs. like i said though, dont care, wont post anymore.
> i took that as an allowance of certain language.
If that was your assumption it was wrong. We cannot allow that for the good health of the site. Yes, a friendly ambiance is important here.
