Epic Games has shown a demo of real-time ray-tracing in Unreal Engine using Microsoft’s new DXR framework and NVIDIA RTX technology for Volta GPUs. The demo was recorded running on an NVIDIA DGX Station which has four Tesla V100 GPUs. In the Star Wars themed demo, lighting is moved interactively as ray-traced shadows and photorealistic reflections render in real time. Watch it on Youtube and read more on Epic’s blog.
