Fabric Software has updated its platform for building high-performance graphics applications. Changes include:
Version 2.0 of Fabric Engine is tentatively scheduled for an early 2015 release. The company is also putting in place a 3rd party developer model, in order to foster the creation of tools using their platform. More on Fabric Software’s website.
- Ability to reload Fabric extensions in a running application
- Improvements to memory management for GPU Compute for KL
- Standalone Splice C++ application for complete portability.
- Support for Maya on OS X
- Major overhaul of the documentation system, including a new KL Style Guide
