Joe Scarr has released a preview video of his soon-to-be-released tool FastCutter. Originally developed for the film 2012, the tool has been in development ever since. It allows the user to hand draw boolean cuts through objects with several options for adding noise, reseeding randomised values per object and more. Watch the preview on YouTube and read more on TP Mayhem where more information is promised on the 17th of November.
Yes! Thats the best cutting tool up to date for nice, detailed frags!
HOws this better than free ones. already so many nothing new
I tryed every free one, none really usable for production.
Has multiple features, like checking everytime you cut the geometry is ok without errors, Reliable Undo, keeps parents UDPs, and other information from your original object. Directable cuts. You can cut on low geometry, and then redo automatically all your cuts on a high res geometry, there is a loong etc. Most important, has been used in over 30 blockbuster movies for more than 7 years, with constant improvements, to be adapted to Artist needs.
some free stuff is good, but has not been improved during so many time. But you can check for yourself. There is a funtional free version as well! https://effectivetds.com/resources/fx-tools/fastcutter/
