John Hable announced that the Ginger HDR video tonemapping plugin for After Effects has been officially released. Ginger HDR is now available for Mac and Windows, and is being offered at an introductory price of $129 until the end of March (official price is $199). A trial version is available for download.
John Hable is also relasing a Merger tool for free, which is designed for batch conversion of sequences of RAW files to EXRs while avoiding the flicker that can sometimes show up in HDR timelapse shots. Merger can process Magic Lantern underexposed and overexposed tracks and merge them into HDR footage using optical flow algorithms and output a sequence EXRs, or alternatively output the separate tracks themselves.
