Luxion, developers of KeyShot interactive rendering and animation software, announced new free plugins for Maya 2016 and Cinema 4D that add export of Maya and Cinema 4D files directly to KeyShot. Additionally, users have full LiveLinking support to update model changes in KeyShot and may export KeyShot .bip files without the need to have KeyShot installed. More on Luxion’s website.
I fail to see the point in this. If a user has the capabilities to use Maya, C4D, why would they want to go backwards into a package like KS which would no doubt limit development options?
ZBrush makes sense, because in a different world of it’s own, but Maya, C4D? I’m not drinking the kool-aid on this one.
Some people refuse to take the time to learn a proper render engine I guess. In that case, if you own Keyshot, you’d like the capability to export from whatever software you’re using more easily.
