(Updated) The protest has reached mainstream news venues such as The Guardian, LA Times, Yahoo and NBC. Also of note, VFX Soldier has reproduced a letter to director Ang Lee (“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”, “Life of Pi”) by Phillip Broste, Lead Compositor at Zoic Studios.

The VFX Soldier blog reports that a VFX artists’ gathering will be held in Hollywood during this year’s Oscars ceremony (tomorrow Sunday) to protest and raise awareness of the dire situation faced by many artists and studios working in the VFX industry. More on the VFX Soldier blog.
