Mettle has released version 2 of Skybox Studio, their suite of After Effects tools for creating, importing, stitching and editing 360° content. The new release adds 3 new modules: SkyBox Composer brings view-based 360° editing to After Effects; SkyBox Project 2D allows you to add text, logos, and graphics onto 360 footage; finally SkyBox Rotate Sphere enables you to rotate 360 footage on the X, Y and Z axes. The tool is highly configurable with the ability to give FX custom names, change priorities, add favourites, change default FX settings and much more. Reality Keyer is a keying plugin that features technology originally developed by Zero Density for their Reality Virtual Studio green screen system. Reality Keyer is a GPU-accelerated, image-based keyer, that, according to Zero Density, provides great results in terms of keeping details and softness and is optimized for fixed camera shots with clean plates. RandomControl has announced that ArionFX is now available for After Effects. The EXR processing suite includes 32 bit tools for firefly removal, color grading, bloom and glare, chromatic aberration, aperture,obstacle and dirt maps, HDR upcasting to push lens effects, and tone-mapping.
