Wacom redesigns its Inutos Pro pen tablet range
Wacom has redesigned its Intuos Pro creative pen tablet, introducing several hardware and software updates. The latest model features a new ergonomic layout, improved connectivity options, and an upgraded stylus.
The redesigned tablet now includes mechanical dials and repositioned ExpressKeys, offering improved tactile feedback and better accessibility for both right- and left-handed users. These controls allow for customizable shortcuts such as zooming, brush size adjustments, and other workflow enhancements. The device supports both USB and Bluetooth connections, with a switch enabling users to toggle between a wired connection and two paired Bluetooth devices.
It also includes the Pro Pen 3, which has been updated with reduced latency for improved responsiveness. The pen remains battery-free and features adjustable grip and button configurations, along with interchangeable nibs and an adjustable weight system, allowing for a more personalized user experience.
The Wacom Intuos Pro remains available in three sizes and continues to support both Windows and macOS. Its slim, lightweight design is intended to accommodate both stationary and mobile work environments. The updated connectivity options and redesigned controls aim to streamline professional creative workflows.

Forget Wacom, there are so many much more affordable alternatives. I
ve switched to XP PEN and Huion and didn
t regret it one second!Absolutely!!
Wacom takes decades of research and production quality from japan and co to china and co.
China and co steal decades of research from wacom in under a year.
China and co now produce equal quality but half the price goods against wacom.
Wacom shrugs and still produces goods at china and co. And doubles down by increasing prices of their own products and decreasing their quality in return.
Shitty pen nibs that melt after a few days of use.
Horrible plastic build quality compared to their previous old products.
Horrible and unusable arm stand forcing most of us to buy one off the shelf.
Wacom now solely relies on its brand name on paper.
What wears off? I did use ONE pen nib for 3 years. Working on tablet, full time job. What did wear off was the surface. had to buy new one and change it, tablet looks like new now. Build quality is excellent, tablets feel and look better than ever before. What are You talking about?
Both new wacom intuos pen nibs as well as wacom cintiq pen nibs wear off in matter of days. Its a fact because over eight people i work with including myself on both products on a regular basis experience this problem which was not present on older pre 2010 wacom products.
You either have tenderest fingers on earth or its a miracle.
And what happens? You can’t use that nib anymore? After it wears off a little bit? I work with way more than 8 people, and nobody changes the nibs :D. I had to show a guy how to do it, nobody did even know how 😀
You should just read the comments on Amazon, there are so many people complaining about this and the reason is, that Wacom shipped their newer tablets with a very rough surface which eats up the nibs extremely fast so you have to buy new ones regularly – with my Intuos 2,3 and 4 I never managed to use up all nibs. And if you want to change the surface it costs an extra 50 bucks or so – instead of supplying the tablets with the smooth surface as default. It
s just another area Wacom tried to milk people. And don
t get me started on the driver issues – for ten years, over multiple devices and computers I had problems with their damn software. Never had any with Huion or XP Pen.You do not have to buy new ones. Increase pressure sensitivity in tablet properties. They did put that rough surface to make it feel more like paper. It feels way better than smooth one. They did just go more for feeling. And no, Intuos 4 had the same rough surface. Source, i still have it stored somewhere on the shelf. It was the first one with that surface. The last one with smooth surface was intuos 3, released in 2004….I do agree that it is not cheap, but it do feel good to work on that rough surface.
BTW, it was the same with nibs pre 2010. Wacom intuos 4 was the first one with new ‘paper like’ surface, wearing the nibs faster . The one with mini lcd screens. It was in 2009…16 years ago.
It happened to me too, not all the nibs in the series, but the first 3 of them died in about 3 weeks. The 4th, as for it, is about to reach one year, proving how I play gently. Nothing to do with the surface, just inconsistant plastic quality. I know it’s hard to believe until it happens to you.
