FXHome has released a significant update to its compositing, editing and VFX software. New features include: 8K and 32-bit floating point color support (including OpenEXR import and export), audio mixing tools, auto-sync feature for automatic synchronization of video and audio files, export queue, second monitor preview, 360° video tools, improved tracking and titling tools, various workflow enhancements, over 500 customizable VFX and presets, etc.
Among the most requested features, scripting and expressions are still missing in this version. But considering the development pace, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them showing up soon.
HitFilm Pro 2017 is offered through permanent licensing at $349, upgrade prices from previous versions are available. More on HitFilm’s website.
