V-Ray for Unreal beta now available

Chaos Group has announced that V-Ray for Unreal beta access is now available. V-Ray for Unreal allows the user to export a scene from Max, Maya or SketchUp as a V-Ray scene file that can be imported into Unreal engine. When the scene is imported materials and lights are converted automatically to their real-time equivalents, but at the same time the original materials are preserved and linked allowing you to launch a V-Ray ray trace render from inside Unreal Engine. Sketchup 2017 released

New features in Trimble's modelling software include: a new improved graphics pipeline (unified across Sketchup, 3D Warehouse, LayOut, My.Sketchup and Trimble Connect), improved quality and speed when displaying transparent models, improved snapping on HiDPI displays, improved offset to avoid self-intersecting geometry, perpendicular to face snap inferencing, Axis locking for the Rectangle tool, tables support in LayOut, improvements to DWF exporting, persistent IDs that make LayOut dimensions able to update to reflect model edits and a new Extension manager.
