Skin Retouch is a free extension by Mamoworld that uses frequency separation to allow for skin smoothing while preserving details. It can also be used for removing wrinkles and doing other beauty retouch work. More on Mamoworld's website.
The Foundry has released the latest versions of Nuke, NukeX, and Nuke Studio. Release 10 focuses on enhancing performance and increasing stability, and offers accelerated Roto Paint performance, Vector Blur enhancements, OCIO integration, NVidia multi-GPU support, ray trace renderer (provides quality motion blur and shadows, support for reflections and ambient occlusion), etc. NukeX and Nuke Studio get a Smart Vector toolset for automated clean-up, replacement and augmentation tasks. You can do it! VFX is making available for free its plugin that streamlines the workflow between 3DS Max and After Effects with interactive capabilities. Nyx Voltron was previously priced at 99€; according to YCDIVFX it will remain free for the next year and a half (and that date may be extended in the future). You can get the free version from the pinned post on the Nyx Voltron Facebook group. If you don't use Facebook, you can contact YCDIVFX and they'll provide you with a download link.

What was thought of as a simple April fools prank has turned out to be a real plugin from the folks at Video Copilot. Glass Eyes for After Effects allows you to add custom 'googly-eyes' to your scenes. The plugin is free and can be download from the Video Copilot website.
RE:Vision Effects has released RE:Lens, an After Effects plugin that provides easy corrections and conversions for common projections and lens distortions. The plugin can unwarp curved footage, create panoramas from footage shot with super fisheye lenses and convert the video for 360 VR viewers. RE:Lens handles rectilinear, latitude longitude (equirectangular 360 panoramic VR), fisheye, super fisheye, super wide-angle zoom, mirror ball and parabolic lens-mirror projections.
