RandomControl has announced that ArionFX is now available for After Effects. The EXR processing suite includes 32 bit tools for firefly removal, color grading, bloom and glare, chromatic aberration, aperture,obstacle and dirt maps, HDR upcasting to push lens effects, and tone-mapping. Blackmagic Design announced that the final release of Fusion 8.2 is now available. The latest version of the VFX and motion graphics software is out of public beta and available as a native application for the Linux platform (as well as Windows and OS X), both in its free and Studio versions. Studios can run Fusion projects and workflows in mixed OS environments and integrate Fusion in existing studio pipelines using Python and Lua scripting. In addition, Fusion projects can be moved between the Mac, Windows and Linux versions so artists can work on the platform of their choice. Fusion 8.2 Studio provides additional features for $995, including unlimited free render nodes and other multi-user features. (more...)
