Adobe announced the acquisition of the Mettle Skybox Suite of 360/VR production tools, which will be available as part of the Creative Cloud through native integration with Premiere Pro and After Effects. Adobe has updated video and audio applications from its Creative Cloud suite of tools. Premiere Pro gains titling and motion graphics workflow tools through an Essential Graphics panel, After Effects adds a Camera Shake Deblur effect and Lumetri Scopes for accurate color adjustments, Character Animator now animates multiple puppets and offers full body animation with new Walk Cycles, Audition adds multichannel audio workflows, among other enhancements. Imagineer Systems has released Mocha VR, a new plugin based on the company's planar tracking algorithm that brings VFX workflows to 360°/VR video production. The software offers features for handling motion tracking, masking, object removal and horizon stabilization. Mocha VR is compatible with Nuke, Fusion, Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects CC and Avid Media Composer. The plugin version is priced at $995, upgrades from Mocha Pro 5 cost $300.
