Chaos releases Vantage version 2.3.0
Chaos has released version 2.3.0 of Chaos Vantage. Among the notable new features is the support for V-Ray Blend Material, additionally, the update includes support for the Multi Matte render element.
In terms of user interface and user experience, the update brings several improvements. These include a viewport toggle filter for light gizmos, an option to enhance desktop responsiveness during rendering, and detailed information in the status bar about the host application used for Live Link. The update also introduces the ability to rename objects created within Vantage, such as Fur, Scatter, Lights, and Multi Matte, through a context menu or by double-clicking on the object name. For output enhancements, the AV1 codec has been added for video encoding, set as the default option if supported by the GPU.
The update also addresses several areas with modifications and fixes. Improvements have been made to displacement by varying the tessellation level within a mesh, resulting in better memory usage. The Intel Open Image Denoise has been updated to version 2.2, and the Light Cache has been refined to better preserve low-intensity samples. The Chaos Cosmos Browser UI has seen enhancements in responsiveness. Fixes in this update address issues with displacement, scene states, Live Link, lighting, clouds, and the UI/UX, including specific problems such as random displacement, broken sub-states, incorrect Live Link updates, and more.
