Chaos Vantage v2.1.0 released with enhanced features and broadened GPU support
Chaos Group has recently unveiled the updated Chaos Vantage v2.1.0. One of the spotlight features of this update is the integration of NVIDIA DLSS 3.5, which leverages Ray Reconstruction to facilitate interactive upscaling and denoising. However, to make the most out of this feature, users would need to have the NVIDIA GPU driver version 537.13 or a later version installed.
Furthermore, the latest iteration of Chaos Vantage has introduced support for refraction glossiness, enriching the realism and detail in rendered scenes. This update also introduces experimental support for discrete Intel Arc GPUs as well as the ability to animate between scene states.
On the usability side, the render queue has seen notable improvements. It now retains its data between offline rendering sessions, which could potentially streamline the workflow for users. Additionally, the update to camera thumbnail refresh behaviour is a welcome tweak. Now, whenever there are changes made to scene states for the camera, the camera thumbnail is updated accordingly.
For more information you can read the full changelog on the official documentation page.
Really a pity That they decided to take vantage out of the VRay premium subscription as it was the only package for which it makes sense to be bundled with vray. Not Phoenix, not chaos player and not scans.
