3DCoat 2022 and 3DCoatTextura 2022 released

Pilgway has announced updates to 3DCoat and 3DCoatTextura. New features of the 2022 versions include:

  • Much faster voxel and surface sculpting to work with scenes of millions of triangles.
  • Auto-Retopo improvements.
  • A new Voxel Brush Engine.
  • Alphas Collection for greater convenience when creating complex surfaces and reliefs.
  • Core API improvements to provide deeper access to the 3DCoat’s core at the full native C++ speed.
  • The node system for shaders has been improved to help with creating complex shaders and textures.
  • A new Bevel tool to work with edges and corners on a model.
  • New Curves tools 
  • The ability to export in GLTF format

really solid update.

the voxel brush seems to work more similarly to oculus medium.
best bang for the buck out there.

Definitely a solid update. Like you said, cant beat the price for such a powerful app. Will definitely upgrade my copy.

got mine for 89€ which is very fair. the pbr library is a really cool extra aswell.

voxel brush isnt quite what i imagined it seems but still. its a pleasure to see what a small and motivated developer can pull off. contrast this with mudbox which is such a sad story. i loved the mudbox workflow…

Pilgway’s headquarters is in Kiev Ukraine. This is just against all odds, incredible update and work. Their licensing is quite fair too. I have so much respect for these people. Bravo
