360-Degree Fog Projection Interactive Display

The Emerging Technologies area of SIGGRAPH Asia will be featuring a 360-degree observable 3D fog display which realizes interaction between observers and presented objects. An overview of the technology can be found at SIGGRAPH.org.

MBL PRO v1.0 released

MBL PRO (Motion Blur Lab PRO) is a Photoshop-compliant plugin capable of producing multi-directional and variable-strength motion blur effects quickly and efficiently using motion vectors. MBL PRO can achieve effects not currently possible with virtually any existing digital retouching software. It is 32bit only at this time. More information can be found at MBL Pro.

This free point release to Itoo Software's parametric modeling plugin adds more than 50 useful new models to its existing library, including: Chainlinks, Stone walls, Moldings, Bridges, Handrails, Street lights and Trusses. Adobe delivers Flash Player 11 with Stage3D

CopperCube 3.0 released

Ambiera has released version 3 of their software for publishing interactive 3D scenes to the web using Flash, WebGL, or as standalone Windows and Mac applications. A key new feature is the ability to develop applications that make use of the new Stage3D component of Flash Player 11 without programming. 3DS Max Scripts

'Bend Biped' script

Clovis Gay has released a script for enabling bendy limbs in a Biped. Sliders control the bend value on hands and feet. Twisting and stretching of the arms and legs are also supported. The script and a demo video can be found at ScriptSpot.
