Seoul-based 4th Creative Party have posted a video showing VFX work they did for Choi Dong-hoon's "Assassination" film. Watch it on Vimeo.

Italian VFX artist Alessandro Nardini has put together a video with a small collection of explosions he created with FumeFX 4, using some of the fluid dynamics software's new features. Alessandro had made a similar video using an earlier version of FumeFX five years ago. Watch the new video on Vimeo.

VFX Supervisor & Technical Director Allan McKay has released a set of free high quality videos with over 8 hours of training covering FumeFX 4 features and ThinkingParticles' destruction workflow in 3DS Max, to create an actual FX shot. Phil Tippett and the Tippett Studio team of animators, modelers, fabricators and compositors have recreated the characters from the Holochess set from the first Star Wars film (Episode IV: A New Hope) for The Force Awakens. They used photgrammetry, ZBrush and 3D printing to restore the look of the original characters, which had deteriorated with time. Watch a video on Vimeo.
