Cinema 4D S22 released for rental users

Maxon has announced that Cinema 4D S22 is now available for its rental users, the new features will be rolled out to perpetual license holders later this year. New features include UV workflow improvements including automatic UV unwrapping, modelling improvements, nodal material export, GoZ Bridge, viewport improvements, GLTF Export, advanced options for MyMaxon accounts and more. Sorry, no together redshift, Linux is not available, and old “xpresso”. why Maxon could not developed Linux support.
I recently switched from Windows to Linux and satisfied, I like Linux better memory management. alas, Adobe and also Maxon do not support Linux it is sad.
Now I work in Houdini, so far I’ll gradually study it to get used to it. Apparently Houdini supports Linux, they are great.
Did you look into that? I see a CentOS 7 and Ubuntu 18 versions in my download page. I am running Windows now so I haven’t tested this.
I wonder if now you can edit UVs one more than one object at a time?!
It’s a pain to UV in C4D, especially with many objects.
Typical of Autodesk…what a poor release. You should be ashamed of BLENDER. Think it’s highest time to switch…
