EmberGen alpha released
Updated: JangaFX has released an update to EmberGen adding the ability to export simulations via VDB. Also included in this version are Tooltips, TGA/EXR support, image sequences, advection methods (Euler, BFECC, Ralston, Kutta, etc.), floor collisions, and more.
JangaFX has released the alpha version of EmberGen, its realtime fluid-sim tool. It is able to instantly simulate, render, and export flipbooks/sprite sheets to any game engine of your choice with volumetric data supported in the future. The tool can be pre-ordered at a 15% discount with various licensing and pricing models that include rental and rent-to-own. I tried this last night on a job, UI isn’t exactly slick yet, but it did the job – VDB export into Redshift Volume Loader worked a treat.
