Maxon One Fall update announced

Maxon has announced an update to Maxon one, its software subscription that includes Cinema 4D, Redshift, Forger, Trapcode, Red Giant and more.

Some of the main features include updates to Cinema 4D 2023 that introduce significant simulation advancements, modelling with symmetry, improved asset management and native OCIO support. Redshift gains Stacked Materials. Forger now supports new workflows with the addition of Cinema 4D’s polygonal modelling engine. Red Giant added text effects for Universe, new sprites for Trapcode and performance updates for VFX. Moves by Maxon gets a facelift. And Maxon continues its Capsules initiative with new assets for Cinema 4D.

Cinema 4D needs a solid Indie tier. Would love to use it.

They did a 50% off offer recently for Zbrush owners for Maxon One, so hopped onto that. It’s a great all-round package as you get redshift included. Hopefully there’ll be a Black Friday discount on the horizon.

No, Maxon officially allow second-hand sales of perpetual licences, complete with full Maxon login and licence. I’ve bought R21 fairly cheaply and have the opportunity to upgrade to 2023 version perpetual as well. They’re still miles ahead of AD in terms of licensing.

Not anymore. R25 was the last perpetual version. Cinema 2023 is subscription only.
