I have the feling i am watching “First Steps in 3ds Max User Interface and basic functions” Video tutorial.
This is the stuff max has either since 20 years, some of this features came in the last 2-3 versions.
Could it be Maya becomes more and more Max, or am i going crazy…
Hey Igor, you’re not going crazy, I was thinking the exact same thing.
I got the same feeling watching ‘whats new’ every time new Max is out…Only software on market that didnt evolve a bit in 12 years
well 3dsmax outsell maya …so one way to get Maya to be the only 3d app autodesk really care about is to entice 3dsmax userbase over to maya….they’re still prospective customers and with ‘rental only’ they could do well.
So Maya never had an “align” tool or a “transparency” option for individual objects in the viewport among other Max tools. MOst of these are modeling tools. Are there animation or other tools in Maya that Autodesk should consider bringing into Max?
I was trying to get back into using Maya after using max for 6 years. Its a terrible program I dunno why its so popular. Can’t even align to pivot or use multisub.
