Adobe has announced an update to Substance Painter. Headline features of this release include a new brush engine that support Photoshop brushes in ABR format, expanded settings, a new opacity accumulation blending mode and better previews.
This release also includes a beta of the Automatic UV wrapping first previewed at SIGGRAPH in 2018, smooth curves with a new Paint Roller stroke tool, and new filters.

Nice move. Right before they add what’s been the number 1 request for years, painting across UDIMS, they removed the possibility to buy permanent licenses.
You can still buy permanent licenses on Steam though.
Only Indie, but correct me if I am wrong.
That’s why you buy maintanence for perma lic when you still can. Also, you can still buy perma on Steam…
edited.
Substance Painter 2020 is on Steam and is actually cheaper than extending my old license, but this is just Indie.
nice update from substance as usual.
