Unity AR companion app now available

Unity has announced that it AR companion app is now available for iOS and Android. Formerly known as the MARS Companion app, the AR Companion app facilitates authoring and data capture using your mobile device. There are 4 main features: the ability to capture environments such as room scans, pictures and video; authoring tools to create and edit content and layouts for assets; cloud sync for further editing in the Unity editor and colaboration; and object capture to scene real-world objects and generate 3D models. A paid MARS subscription is required for proxy creation in scene editing flow, environment capture, data recording, and image markers. Find out more on the Unity blog.
