Unreal for educators – Authorised Training Partner scheme and mega grants
Unreal has announced two new initiatives for educators teaching Unreal Engine. First up is the Unreal Authorized Training Partner Program that means that epic will support courses with access to a training curriculum, get permission to use UATC or UAT logos for marketing, and be invited to the annual UATC summit.
Two partners are already signed to up, INCAS Training based in Germany, and Escape Studios in London.
You can learn more about it and apply on the Unreal Engine website.
The second initiative for educators is Epic MegaGrants, the $100 million fund earmarked to support the Unreal Engine community, open source developers, and perhaps less well know – schools. A recent article on the Unreal Blog shares some tips for educators to apply.
Just few more info, behind this short-code, teasing news:
Epic reviews your activities in the first 6 months, you must deliver some courses otherwise no certificate. (stressing + data collecting)
Autsch! Never heard about GDPR or DSVGO? – i am very sure the employees of Mercedes or Airbus in Germany will never allow me to send their private or company contacts somewhere else.
I really wanted to do it but this is EU non-conform and can work only somewhere in US or Asia, where privacy is irrelevant. I have no idea how to do it in EU for professional artists and companies without breaking the privacy issues. Epic, fix this please.
