Written by Jon A. Bell (author of the "3D Studio MAX f/x and Design" books), "3ds max 6 Killer Tips" features 275 different tips on varied aspects of 3ds max 6 from modeling to animation, lighting, rendering (including over a dozen Mental Ray tips), the Reactor plugin, Particle Flow, UI customization, etc. Read on for more. "3ds max 6 Killer Tips" also includes an entire chapter devoted entirely to MAXScript, featuring more than 40 tips written by famed MAXScript guru Borislav "Bobo" Petrov, as well as information for using supplemental programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Discreet Combustion and others.

In addition, the book features tips by 3ds max luminaries Darv Atkinson, Neil Blevins, Peter DeLappe, Pete Draper, Aksel Karcher, Ben Lipman, Dan Meblin, Cy Shuster (Autodesk Technical Support), and Paco Vidal (Havok). Finally, the Appendix includes a list of 3ds max resources, including 3ds max support and news websites, major plugin developers and dealers, visual effects and filmmaking sites, reference books, and magazines.

The entire book is in full color, with at least one illustration per tip, and is 294 pages long. It retails for $39.99 U.S. ($57.99 Canadian.)

The book is available from many online bookshops including Amazon and New Riders.
