Bell (author of the "3D Studio MAX f/x and Design" books), "3ds max 6 Killer Tips" features 275 different tips on varied aspects of 3ds max 6 from modeling to animation, lighting, rendering (including over a dozen Mental Ray tips), the Reactor plugin, Particle Flow, UI customization, etc. Read on for more.

"3ds max 6 Killer Tips" also includes an entire chapter devoted entirely
to MAXScript, featuring more than 40 tips written by famed MAXScript guru
Borislav "Bobo" Petrov, as well as information for using supplemental programs such as Adobe Photoshop,
Discreet Combustion and others.
