Adobe previews new AI tools for Premiere Pro
Adobe has announced several generative AI technologies that will be integrated into Adobe Premiere Pro. This initiative is part of Adobe’s broader strategy to infuse AI across its Creative Cloud services, enhancing productivity and creative possibilities for professionals.
Key developments include the introduction of the Adobe Firefly Video Model, extending the already available suite of AI models such as Firefly Image and Text Effects. Additionally, Adobe is exploring partnerships with third-party AI providers like OpenAI’s Sora, RunwayML, and Pika to expand the range of tools available within Premiere Pro.
Among the new tools shown is Generative Extend, which allows editors to add frames at the beginning or end of a clip to fine-tune edits or extend scenes. The Object Addition and Object Removal tools enable precise editing of moving objects within a scene, enhancing the editor’s ability to manipulate and improve the visual narrative. Finally, the Generative B-Roll feature offers editors the ability to generate video clips from text prompts.
Adobe pledged to maintain transparency when using AI through initiatives like Content Credentials, which inform users about the AI models used in media creation.
