Reallusion introduces BuildingGen
Reallusion has launched BuildingGen, a new tool designed to simplify the process of creating 3D buildings. This tool stands out from other modular building generators by eliminating the need for complex node-graph editing in favor of customizable Blueprints where users input basic units, set the number of floors, and arrange components to build the structure. Real-time modification and previews are supported as you design.
The base package include a library of over 210 samples and components, including 10 pre-designed buildings and numerous materials. For users that want to customize buildings, the software features tools for modifying or building new styles. Users can adjust building structures by adding or removing elements like pillars or fences, and refine exteriors by altering materials and decorative components. Additional paid expansion packs are also available.
Additionally, the software includes an optimization function that improves performance by consolidating textures and models. BuildingGen also includes a one-click day and night switch feature, adding dynamic lighting effects.
BuildingGen offers packaging tools that allow users to integrate external content and customize building packages to match specific styles or eras. This makes it easier for architects and designers to maintain consistency across various projects.
