If I could give one advice to any student who would like to become a 3dsmax master, I would say: “take the Grant Warwick and Allan McKay’s online courses and you will get a better education than any school could give you and it will be wayyyy cheaper! I haven’t see those antire courses but just the first free lessons show me that this is the best way to learn. Learning with seasons veteran artists as online mentors.
I watched some of the previews. It looks very interesting and insightful. I would sign up in a minute if I could afford it right now.
Cant deny Allan’s knowledge and I have found the free videos handy as a maxscript refresher so I’m sure the full course will be excellent.
I dont understand why the website has been layed out like a “learn how to make $5000 a day with only 1 hour of work” type thing, It’s slightly offputting.
Signed up with brother !
But echo comment above me, the web is horrible :- D What is this…90s scam ?
Yeah, Allan’s a master of simulations but that website does look unsafe and very similar to the IllusionMage website which is a paid for rip-off of Blender. I think the best thing to do would be to contact him and ask him about it directly.
That definitely is a legitimate site by Allan. He published a free tutorial there recently, and you can see his related comments published on Facebook there.
Try to go a bit easier on the site criticism, Allan has released plenty of free quality tutorials and helped lots of fellow artists. He’s a great guy.
I guess the design is tongue in cheek.
Hey guys, thanks for the comments! Yeah the design is a template on the hosting platform. I’m not a big fan designing websites but at least it can convey the information clearly enough.
The way this works is tomorrow night for now the enrollment closes, and the course begins July 1. Everyone who signs up is given a personal login and password to the members area, where every week they are given access to a new module which contains several lessons, every week for 3.5 months. So a total of 14 modules. There’s also some other modules I haven’t disclosed yet and it’s more of a surprise for the people who sign up. But there’s a lot.
Also all students get access to a members only forum where we all work together and various other material plus a certificate upon completion and maxscript for artists book. So there’s a lot. It’s pretty huge and I’m really excited and I plan to take time off from Blur Studio to really focus on putting more time into this course, I’ve been working on this thing for what feels like forever.
Any questions you guys have I will be more than happy to answer. Also you can check out the free videos at http://www.tdtransformation.com too if you prefer the free content
Thanks guys, have a great one!
Signed up! I learned pflow from Allan years ago and that was a boon to my tool chest can’t wait to add this courses materials.
Wow I just saw the illusion Mage website. Never heard of this before. Why does such a scam is still online: http://www.illusionmage.com/
Allan website looks exactly the same except it’s not a scam! Allan, I guess you started from the same template but with different goals!
