Avid release free Media Composer First

Avid has released Media Composer First, a free cut-down version of its flagship editing package for Windows and Mac OS X. This release is aimed at users who want to get a taste of a professional grade NLE, featuring many of the same features of its big brother, with a few exceptions: a limit of 4 video tracks and 8 audio tracks, resolution restricted to a maximum of 1080P HD, limited LUT support, limited toolsets for color-correction, audio editing and effects.
