BlackRay is a new real-time renderer and game engine for 3DS Max in development by Hamid Memar. The engine is based on OpenGL and DirectX and is designed to run entirely inside Max. Though detailed information is limited at this point, according to the website, it has a physical sun and sky system including volumetric clouds. dynamic lighting, terrain and landscaping tools, animation tools and more. You can learn a little more on the project’s website (Persian | English auto-translate) including demo videos and a discord server has been set up for more information.
