Blender 2.77 released

The Blender Foundation has released another significant update to its open source 3D software. New features include:
- The Cycles renderer offers improved Subsurface Scattering and faster SSS on GPUs, smoke/fire and Point Density support on GPU, support for rolling shutter, etc.
- Improvements to the UI
- Various modeling enhancements including an Edit-mode boolean tool
- Improvements to the Snake Hook brush that allow you to drag out long extruded segments, and rotate the brush using the new rake option
- Animation improvements including new interpolation method for constraints based on “Polar decomposition”, plus updated graph editor, dope sheet, armatures, etc.
- The Grease Pencil tool adds stroke sculpting capabilities, a proper “Edit Mode” in the 3D View, animation editing improvements including Copy/Paste and more advanced channel filtering, etc.
- OpenVDB caching for smoke/volumetric simulations
- Blend File Utils add-on offers the ability to pack blend files, including all their libraries and dependencies, into a self contained ZIP file
another nice update to an already great 3d app.
Blender is simply amazing, getting better and better for every release.
It’s giving the big boys a good run for their money with each new release.
