PSOFT has released Character Box, a new animation plugin for Modo that includes a modular rigging system for bipeds or multi-limbed animals, muscle simulation, the ability to generate weight maps using polygonal meshes, and a library system for organising and re-using rigs, motions and more. Still better to use a custom rig more control
A bit expensive also
Character Box looks great! I think the price is fair. You can’t always create a custom rig for every character in every project! Especially not in MODO – at least, not at the moment. Think about how much time this kit will save you. Assuming it does what it claims, this Kit is totally worth it!
All it needs now is Cat motion like in 3ds max then i can finally jump ship!
it’s well priced when you consider the closest competition of CAt motion form softimage that was priced at $1800 back then.
I wish it imported mocap, though.Then it would be perfect. They are great developers. I bought pencil+ years ago, and it’s the best toon shader ever.
