After their release of the Animated History of Poland, Platige Image have recently completed another history-related project, this time for the Warsaw Rising Museum. The recreation of the remains of Warsaw at the end of Second World War took two years to complete, and was made using 3DS Max and V-Ray. It is estimated that with damage suffered during the invasion of Poland (1939), the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (1943), and the Warsaw Uprising (1944) over 85% of the city was destroyed by January 1945. The film shows the flight of a liberator plane over the destroyed Warsaw of 1945. Watch the trailer at Platige Image, visit the official website, and read an interview with lead artist Michał Gryn at Autodesk’s Area.
