Corona 12 Update 1 released with Vantage Live Link and more
Chaos has released Corona 12 Update 1 with including the Corona to Vantage Live Link and Chaos Cloud Collaboration.
The Corona to Vantage Live Link allows users to connect Corona with Chaos Vantage. Changes made in 3ds Max or Cinema 4D are reflected in real-time in the Live Link viewport, providing a GPU-based alternative to Interactive Rendering. Users can explore camera angles, adjust lighting, and fine-tune materials. A future release will expand Live Link’s capabilities to support DCC animations and more efficient Scatter updates.
Chaos Cloud Collaboration simplifies client review processes. Users can upload images directly from the Virtual Frame Buffer, share them with clients, and receive feedback via markup and comments. It also supports virtual tours, enabling clients to explore scenes interactively without additional tools.
Rendering capabilities have been improved with faster caustics, automatic exposure and white balance, and AI image upscaling. Caustics rendering has been improved in speed and quality, with new volumetric caustics for improved effects in scenes featuring water, smoke, or glass.
Other additions include new Scatter distribution presets for more efficient scene detailing and over 750 new assets in the Chaos Cosmos library.
