Evermotion releases its first Blender collection

Mar 14, 2018 by CGPress Staff

Evermotion has announced its first collection of 10 architectural scenes for Blender and Cycles. Thought Evrmotion acknowledge that 3DS Max remains the industry stalwart (and that is not likely to change soon), the release could be seen as evidence that more archviz artists are considering viable alternatives to their existing tried and tested software. The collection is scheduled for 27 March but can be pre-ordered now for €90. Find out more about the release on the Evermotion website.

The good thing about it is, that now users with a different software configuration, can use the blend file to study and extract the content without the need of a certain 3d application and renderer…(And no an fbx file can’t give you all the data and settings). So depending how good the conversion is, this could be good news for a larger audience.

I would like they can give a discount if you already own the same collection but for Max, we do… and acquiring the same scenes again for the full price is a bit :S because we can convert from there.

The cool thing could have been the release of an entirely new collection with new scenes and models 🙂

But this is pretty good 🙂

Cheers!

Usually 120 bucks is the normal price of any archinteriors, it´s on discount for a few time at the price of 90 bucks, what I say is that If you already have acquired the max counterpart some permanent discount could be good, not saying is mandatory or anything similar.

Anyways, I said we can convert it, it´s not a complaint, just an opinion, an idea, but it´s good to have this, we will be able to skip the conversion process at some point 🙂

Milan: I´m not “Blender” guy, I´m a customer that already purchased more than the half of the work of that product, and own it, ¿what do you think is best for them? To give us a discount since we have the max version and sell another 60 bucks, or don´t sell us anything at all because we can do the conversion ourselves?

Blender guys pay way more than you for their software, is just we are pretty happy with were the money goes and we pay it IF we want!, and now, I don´t want a discount always, I want a fair price for things, that said… I think 120€ for this product is a perfectly fair price 🙂

Cheers!

I also think 90 bucks for the conversion is fair. If you have the scene already and can do the conversion in a cheaper way you don´t have to buy it 😉 I dont use blender but I also think that its a very good thing that they start to create assets for it.
