Facebook has announced a collaboration with Unity technologies to expand their existing game development tools and integrate support for the Facebook platform into Unity. The aim is to allow Unity developers to streamline the process for publishing games to Facebook, including support for a new PC gaming platform currently in development. A limited number of developers can apply to use a closed-alpha build of the new export to Facebook functionality in Unity version 5.4. Find out more and apply for alpha access on the Facebook For Developers website.

After they embrace the renting licensing system now they embrace facebook, this is improving with time…

Well, we already migrated our main pipeline to Unreal Engine 4 and we are VERY happy, our experience so far is better visual quality and better performance.

Cheers!

Do you remember that independent company named “Oculus”?… the good old days…

This new CEO is being great for the company, as great as he was for EA, I don’t understand how can they hire a persin that nearly sinks EA (as far as I heard) ????????

Incredible…

Why oh why.. why Facebook? Why?

I’ll switch to Unreal but the C++ will be the death of me.

Oh, suck it up, ya’ wimp. C++ isn’t that difficult. I learned it when I was about 15, before YouTube and Google existed.

You can learn it. Just learn the basics of Object-Oriented Programming principles. The rest is largely just learning syntax.

Tons of free learning material on learning C++ nowadays, and even some on using C++ for UE4.

We work entirely based on blueprints, we are doing a medium sized vr project, and we did not write a single line of code in C++, just blueprints… besides is what Hansel said, it is not that difficult, if you program in C# is just a matter of adjusting some concepts and syntax.

Go on!

Cheers.
