Faceware Studio – real time face tracking

Faceware has announced the release of Faceware Studio, its facial animation software for realtime streaming that promises a modern and intuitive approach to creating instant facial animation.

Key features include single click calibration that uses machine learning to track faces from a live camera or pre-recorded footage, the ability to visualize and adjust actor-specific profiles with Animation Tuning, the ability to use animation logic,  and the ability to stream animation data to Faceware supported plugins, allowing actors to control any character. Faceware Studio is compatible with Motion Builder, Unity, Unreal (and soon Maya). Pricing starts at $195 per month with some plugins attracting an additional cost. Find out more on Faceware’s website.
