It is strange to me how Youtube pays (if you have enough viewers) while Vimeo charges (for HD). Vimeo has much less ads, and better video quality but you’d think there would be a happy medium. Or if Youtube could increase the quality of their videos. For me I use my Vimeo account as a portfolio (and embed that in my website), and Youtube for posting 3ds Max tips and similar.
If Youtube would up their quality, I could stop paying for my Vimeo account. I imagine they have the resources and wouldn’t loose much but could possibly gain more high profile, film maker type content.
