AAA studio has announced that development will no longer continue for its GPU powered renderer. Furryball is still available, and now ‘free’ to all users but with no access to support or maintenance. In order to cover server costs AAA Studio will continue to charge a fee of 29 euros per year for access to the C4D, 3DS Max and Maya plugins. Read the statement on Facebook and find out more about Furryball on AAA Studio’s website.
I bought furryball’s license a couple of years ago and have to say it’s definitely a good renderer but it was too expensive and really massacred by redshift in terms of price, quality and speed
