Many artists don’t know what this application is all about so I will try to make it more clear. Clarisse is an extraordinary application for loading, set dressing, look development (almost in real time), rendering huge scenes and creating matte paintings. So, it is not just a renderer but a new workflow for manipulating huge scenes. It is easier, much more creative and much cheaper than Katana (Katana has almost the same purpose, although Katana can have Arnold and Renderman as renderers, Clarisse has just his own renderer). Anyway, some things are still missing, because it is a relatively new application. I hope it will show for example improvements in lighting and animation tools. In addition to this, Clarisse should add some plugins to collaborate better with other 3d applications and renderers. Finally, there is a great need for more updated educational material, introductory and especially high-end tutorials, for example for rendering water, oceans with foam and waterfalls from Houdini or hair from Maya etc.

Yeah think educational part is the the main issue with Clarrise , I am not a T/D But I have no idea where to even start with making complex materials in Clarisse . So the work flow of getting foam and ocean to work in clarisse is beyond me , Clarisse need more presets .
