I’m super excited for these new features that have already been integrated into professional production software for the last 5+ years. Mind = Blown.
You are right with that criticism, thank you for the comment. Also, we had let through some (marketing) superlatives from the original text that we have now removed from the news item.
The plus that Keyshot may offer though is that it makes some of these features available to a different audience.
Nah, I’m just being sassy. KS is extremely relevant for things like Zbrush artists and others who do not find the worth in learning higher functioning aspects of CG (outside of modeling of course). It has it’s place as a tool in an artist’s arsenal.
I’ve just experienced really temperamental performance (glitches n’ the like) from KS before in the past (versions 4-5) and have a chip on my shoulder from the many, many updates Luxion pushes through KS. It feels like development on the go which only hurts the end user as they seem to act more as testers than anything.
Furthermore, I’m continually offset by the aspect of adding “higher level” features to a software that prides itself on being so simple and “user friendly”.
Just one person’s opinion though, sure there are plenty of other views out there! I’ll stop being such a stick in the mud. 😀
