Amazon has announced the availability of Lumberyard Beta 1.16 which incorporates over 250 improvements, fixes, and features including a significant architectural update to the memory management system to enable developers reduce memory fragmentation and footprint by up to 40%. There are also improvements to the animation and cinematics systems, including the ability to drive animations directly from Track View, the reduction of Gridmate’s network traffic bandwidth requirements by 300%, texture streaming support for mobile devices, support for Visual Studio 2017 version 15.8.6 and much more.
