Mari 5 released

Foundry has announced the release of Mari 5 – the latest version of its 3D painting software. In addition to USD improvements, new features include an enhanced brush engine which offers more level of control over a brush’s colour and HSV jitter effects on a per stroke, per tip splat or on a pen pressure-controlled basis; the ability to use custom brush tips that can be fully colour-managed images; new and improved Bake Point Filters plus the ability to non-destructively Blur graph networks. Mari’s core also gets some attention, including an improved flattening engine that reduces bake speeds by up to 50% in some scenarios. See the full list on the Foundry website.
