Modo 12.2 released
Foundry has released Modo 12.2 with Accelerated Rendering using the GPU thanks to NVIDIA’s Optix technology. Also in this release is optimised topology when creating geometry with complex edges in MesgFusion, improvements to animation and rigging, A new Workbenches UI module that can be customised with your own tool presets, macros, buttons script and more.
Procedural modelling sees improvements in this release with the addition of UV Rectangles, UV fit Mesh Op, and UV Unwrap Mesh Op. Procedural stitching allows users to create stitches by drawing them on a mesh or converting an edge selection parametrically.
Finally, Modo Bridge has been updated to improve export times to Unreal Engine by up to 4 times and the integrated VR viewport gets a toolset that allows for component selection and a selection of the modelling tools.
