PixPlant is a new texturing tool that creates seamless textures of any size from plain photos. PixPlant can be used to quickly generate seamless textures, to augment images or for any purpose which requires a new image based on other seed images. A fully functional demo of PixPlant, examples, screenshots and a video tutorial are available at PixPlant.com. Read on for more.
PixPlant saves a lot of time on the repetitive work of preparing tiled
or background textures and can create unique images which would
otherwise be very hard to craft manually.
The benefits for 3D modeling, architecture and games are:
– Creates unique images of the size you need for your modeling tool. The generated images can tile horizontally and/or vertically.
– Avoid repeated texture surfaces by creating larger textures with less repetition.
– Based on real-life photos, PixPlant generates realistic textures with the same appeal as their sources.
– Very easy to use, without the complication of procedural texture generation tools.
