Quixel updates its subscription plans
Quixel has announced several changes to its Megascans subscription plans that give users access to a library of photoscanned assets and material creation software. Major changes include unlocking stockpiled points, formerly if your subscription lapsed and remaining points became unavailable, this is now no longer the case. The hobby plan has also been changed to allow for commercial use and resolutions for this plan have been increased from 2K to 4K. Other new benefits include a collection of five assets free for each subscriber. Unusually, these will be personalised based on your history.
Perhaps the biggest news is the ability to subscribe to the Bridge and Mixer independently of the library for $9 per month. Bridge, for example, includes one-click integrations for UE4, 3DS Max, Unity, Maya, Houdini and others and is starting to become an all-purpose content management tool for artists. On the other hand, Mixer has become an interesting and flexible tool for working with photoscanned PBR maps, wherever they came from.
Completely new subscription plans have been added too. An ArchViz Megascans subscription tier has been added with promises to add more scans suitable for this industry, and teachers and institutions can now get the software and a selection of maps free, or pay for access to a larger library.

finally, I have been waiting for them to make Mixer and Bridge available separately from their library. And the pricing is nice. Go Quixel
