No trace of XPU rendering in the release notes. Can anyone confirm this is still old school CPU render?
Yes XPU is planned for next year. But its not old scool its also the nes RIS core.
Is there a 3dsMax support for Renderman?
There used to be a bridge years ago but it’s gone now. Anyone is able write a bridge though if they’re up for it. Secondly Why? There are already so many renderer options especially for max. IMO Renderman was a dead renderer anyway and it’s small resurgence here is mainly due to USD. Which is Render Agnostic btw. So I think the more important piece of the pipeline puzzle here is USD not Renderman. And USD is coming to max or so they say.
