Nevercenter has announced the release of Silo 2021.5, the latest version of its lightweight polygonal modelling and UV mapping tool.
New features include the ability to import SVG files, allowing the user to ingest logos, floor plans, and other intricate shapes and convert them to useable 3D geometry. In addition, support has been improved for nearly every other format Silo imports and exports, including fixing issues with non-English characters in file paths, improved support for normal vectors, auto tesselation of faces with holes for formats that don’t support face holes, improved handling of instances, and shape pivot preservation for FBX files. Several other bugs have been fixed in other file format support.
